Reading this book has actually shown me the real deal with politics and the language they use. How now the English Language has been misinterpreted by the politics. We get wrong idea and information of the Language by the simple influence of those in power. LAnguage is used only by how we want to see it as. An example can be in this time of war that we have, how we need to "rid this world of evil"(Danner,17), thats the way we were taught to see it. But how about those innocents that get killed for no reason, how do you call that? As reading through this it has opened my mind of how we get fooled and we actually fall for it. As i understand Orwell's idea is that language should be used with metaphor and creativity to expand our minds in a good way. Sadly to say but this problem has been happening during Orwell's time and 'till this day its still being like that. The poltics know of Orwell and they simply get the wrong idea of what he is really trying to say. I have more insight now about language and the politics, which really interests me. Now I know what those in power are truly trying to do, and i can say that since reading this from now on i am going to really pay attention and observe very well of the being used and hopefully not fool me.
