Why are we reading this? That was the first thought that came to my mind when I first started reading it. I asked to myself, "what does politics have to do with English?". But as I read along, I realized that the English language is being misused and guides bad politics. It leads us to misunderstand what the real English language is about. We only see the language as how we want to and now as how we are supposed to see it. I never really thought about how this concept can really reflect upon what is going on today and how it shapes our language and politics. There are so many words that I had trouble understanding, and made no sense when I was reading along. It frustrated me to not be able to understand what the sentence, or the paragraph was about. Overall this book has a good concept and though it has certain words that are hard to understand, what it offers is more than great value. It helped me shaped and think wisely. To really understand why politics are the way they are. That the English language is overall corrupted and that's what shapes the politics. This book will really help me shape my thoughts and how it will really help me with my future and the way I think for any possible decisions.
