Faute DE Mieux

While I was reading the new assignment I came across the word Faute DE Mieux it is in a different language and was at an interesting part in the book. The word/ phrase is located in the second paragraph towards the end of the it, on page 17. SO while looking it up it came out to be a French word in which the orgin came from the 1760- 1770. I means "for lack of something better." Basically it means that people lacked of wanting something better. This helped me understand the text a little more because I was understanding what the writer was trying to get across and helped me appreciate what was trying to be said.
